Ice Cream and Frozen Yogurt Results

Ice cream cake can last up to a week (7 days) if refrigerated and stored in an airtight container. Unlike regular ice cream, ice cream cake has a variety of different ingredients that lower its shelf life considerably. The best indication that an ice cream cake is past its due date is when ice crystals begin to form on the cake.

The cost of ice cream cakes largely depends on the supplier. Many well-known ice cream cake suppliers are Dairy Queen, Baskin Robbins, and Walmart. All of these suppliers have different designs, ice cream selections, and cake types that influence their prices. As you add any customized messages, designs, or specialty ingredients, the more expensive it will be. That being said the average ice cream cake cost will be around $20 to $25.

The rental cost of an ice cream truck can average anywhere from $200 to $800. Some ice cream rental companies have different packages that they offer. These packages are often customizable to your needs, so the cost changes based on whether it is an hourly rate or a flat rate. Prices also vary based on the menu items you would like to be offered at your event, the location of the event (travel fees, gas, etc.), and the amount of time the food truck will be at the event. Another way ice cream truck rentals are priced can be determined on the servings. Depending on the type of event, from family parties to an employee event, the prices can range from $3 to $10 per serving. Additional fees may be added. For example, some truck rental companies may charge a reservation deposit beforehand. You may also have to pay for additional drivers/helpers.

Before cutting your ice cream cake, be sure to thaw it for around 10-15 minutes. Cutting ice cream cakes is easier when using a long, serrated knife with a pointed tip. Dip the knife in hot water, dry it off, and then begin cutting. Warming the blade up by dipping it into hot water helps the blade cut through the ice cream more easily than waiting for it to melt enough to be soft. After a few slices, you should reheat the knife by dipping it in the hot water and wiping it clean. We recommend cutting a round cake into triangle-shaped slices and cutting rectangular cakes into square slices.

The best way to serve ice cream at a party would be to have a buffet-style setup. If you choose to go this route, be sure to have multiple flavors of ice cream to accommodate all your guests. To create an ice cream buffet, start by placing aluminum trays or ice cream containers in ice. Place the toppings selections nearby with the necessary utensils. Guests will be able to serve themselves and add whatever toppings they choose. To ensure your ice cream will stay frozen, you can use regular ice or dry ice. We recommend bringing out the ice cream little by little, so it all doesn’t melt at once or get eaten too quickly. If a buffet-style ice cream bar is not what you have in mind, you could also try having a mobile ice cream cart, an ice cream cake, ice cream floats, or other varieties of ice cream treats.

Caterers may decide pricing on the number of guests at the event, the location of the event, if any extensive travel will be needed, how long the event is, and other add-ons. These extras can include different ice cream bars (sundae, ice cream sandwiches, etc.), flavors/toppings, and how many servers you will need. Due to these factors, ice cream catering pricing can range all the way from $100 to over $1,000. Some caterers may charge a minimum amount on a set number of guests, and then charge extra for every person over that set amount. Pricing can also depend on delivery, set-up, and service required. The kind of ice cream package also influences the price.

Ice cream cake consists of a regular cake with layers of ice cream inside. Instead of cake batter being the main ingredient in the cake, ice cream is! While ice cream cakes have ice cream in the middle, they sometimes have soft-serve ice cream in place of frosting as well. Ice cream cakes can have a variety of additional toppings like crumbled cookies or yummy sauces.
