The pieces are flat, about 1/8" thick. 10 pieces of sea glass is about 2 oz in weight. The pieces are not flavored, they are just plain and sweet :-) Sea glass peaces will come to you lightly coated with oil, to prevent them from sticking to each other. Since sugar is highly affected by humidity and moisture, it is best to use low moisture icing for the cake to place them on. Fondant and chocolate would be the best options but some butter creams like crusting butter cream would be all right also, since it has very little liquid content.
